The Wooden Architecture Route runs through three regions: Małopolska, Podkarpacie and Silesia. Total length of the route is 3037 km and its considerable part (1060 km) is located the area of Małopolskie Voivodship. 252 most valuable and highly interesting historic wooden buildings of the folk architecture in Małopolska - picturesque churches (four of them were entered onto the UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage List), beautiful Orthodox churches, slender bell towers, Old Polish manors, detached houses and open-air ethnographical museums.
The Wooden Architecture Route in Małopolska is divided into four routes: route 1 (around Kraków), route 2 (around Tarnów), route 3 (around Nowy Sącz and Gorlice), route 4 (Orawa, Podhale, Spisz and the Pieniny Mountains).
